How do I transfer pictures
from my phone onto my computer? How do I upload videos to YouTube? What the
heck is the Cloud?
I get these questions all the time. You know that “nerdy” friend
to whom you ask all your tech questions? I’m her. On lots of Diet Coke and the occasional Skinny Grande Caramel Frappuccino.
Look, I love technology.
Love it. We speak the same language, technology and I. Oh sure, we have our
differences now and then, and by now and then, I mean daily, but in the end, we always seem to find a way to make amends. Or I open a bottle of wine. Either way.
But my friends. Oh my goodness. They just…they just need
help. And that’s okay! “You should blog,” they tell me. “Then we won’t have to
bother you all the time.” Well, friends, I’m putting that theory to the test. I’m
going to post my technology tips and tricks right here. Then maybe, just
maybe, we can talk about something else over a glass of wine—world peace,
global warming. . .scarves.
To a very special few, though, I’m more than just a tech
geek—I’m a mom and Gams. Yes, on top of the shooting, the editing, the
audio ripping, the website designing, and the photo scanning, I have
somehow managed to have a hand in raising five really great kids and two amazing grandkids. I know what
it’s like for us moms. We don’t always have time to see what lame update Apple put
on this month’s version of the iPad mini or figure out how to get photos off
your phone and send them in a Shutterfly book to your Great Aunt Esther. That
stuff takes time. Time you don’t have. Time you need to spend reaching the next
level of Candy Crunch on Facebook.
That’s what I’m here for. I’m here for when your gadgets
think they’re a little too big for their britches. For when your phone and
computer decide they’re in cahoots and conspire to drive you insane. We all have TechProblems. I’m here to help you untangle
yourself from the cords. And if I can’t help you fix your problems . . . there’s always wine.
Ciao, Sweeties,
TechMom
